Japan Earthquake Relief Foundation
“We promise is to support Japan as a nation, who continually inspire us to aim higher.”
We believe that love has no borders. Our mission is to help orphans, children, the elderly and the homeless in Japan, due to earthquake, tsunamis and other disasters. We will do our best to cut through all the red-tape and bureaucracy to help the people in need, and to direct the donations to people who need it the most. We promise to help the Japanese people quickly, with respect, and in a compassionate manner.
GlobalGiving begins with the dedicated, tenacious individuals who are driving change in their communities. From running orphanages and schools, to helping survivors of natural disasters, these people are do-gooders to the core. We connect these “good idea people” with the “generous giver people” and help projects of all sizes receive donations of all sizes.
ASHINAGA is a non-profit organization in Japan. Since it was founded in 1969, more than 60,000 orphans have graduated from schools with ASHINAGA scholarship support. The name “ASHINAGA” is a Japanese translation of the title of the American novel “Daddy Long Legs”. We hope that our orphans receive an education equal to that of ordinary children.
